Rail Bridge Strengthening
The maintenance and strengthening of rail bridges is an ongoing requirement supported by Tension Control Bolts Ltd. Our high strength bolting assemblies are deployed for many reasons, including mitigating against under design and increased loading. This could be due to heavier axle weights, higher speeds or increased ballast depths.
For heritage structures the dome head of our standard TCB is a natural and aesthetically pleasing replacement for a rivet. The speed of TCB installation allows contractors to complete bridge strengthening with a limited possession time, minimising the disruption to passengers and preserve the heritage of rail infrastructure.
