TCB have supplied over 12,000 Tension Control Bolts and Studs to the North Stand redevelopment at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, home to the current Premier League Champions, Manchester City FC.

The stand expansion will take the crowd capacity to over 60,000 spectators and will include a 3,000-capacity fan zone, new club shop, 400 bed hotel, sky bar/restaurant overlooking the pitch and a museum. A stadium roof-walk experience will accompany the sky bar at the top of a new eight-storey building.

M24, M30 and M36 TCB’s have been supplied to steel fabricators William Hare Group, who have been tasked with erecting the impressive structure in time for the beginning of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Local media outlets have estimated that the investment from Manchester City will provide significant economic benefits to the Manchester community. This includes a £70 million injection into the Greater Manchester economy each year, as well as an additional 1,795 full-time jobs. This number could reach 3,000 in future years when casual shifts and part-time workers are accounted for.

Last year the Etihad saw Erling Haaland receive his second, successive golden boot award, as he scored 27 premier league goals with 15 of them bagged in front of a home crowd. Once the new £300 million renovation is complete, he will have the opportunity to make it a hattrick of golden boots, playing in front of one the biggest stadiums in Europe.
