Britcon Engineering Ltd of Scunthorpe were awarded the challenging job of re-strengthening the Goole swing bridge.
Using TCBs during a short blockade of the railway line allowed Britcon to take advantage of the speed of installation.
The bridge takes a railway line across the river Ouse with the centre section of the bridge able to be maneuvered to allow tall ships to pass.
