Heron Tower in Bishopshopsgate, Central London will be the tallest building in the UK by pinnacle height overtaking One Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
Full construction began in April 2008 with foundation piles and steel rebar being installed around the site. In early October the first steel beams appeared on site as Severfield Reeve began steel erection.
As of May 2009, Heron Tower is rising at a rapid pace and making its mark on the skyline of London. When completed Heron Tower will be 46 storeys, 242 meters tall.
