New Great Central Railway Bridge

Great Central Railway Bridge

Rail enthusiasts have crowd funded a new heritage bridge over the Midlands Main Line. The original bridge was removed after the closure of the original Great Central line by British Rail in 1969.

Moore Steel Developments Ltd of Peterborough manufactured, delivered, and installed the bridge deck.

The bridge was bolted with together TCBs. Tension Control Bolts were specified as the distinctive dome head of a standard TCB is aesthetically pleasing, and for this bridge a riveted appearance was mandatory.
