Tension Control Bolts recently visited Martifer at the HS2 Curzon Street site in Birmingham to deliver a bolt competency course to the installation crew.

Sales Engineer Macaulay Salter and International Account Manager Sandra Moreira led the training, sharing practical guidance on the correct installation, inspection and handling of Tension Control Bolts. The course reinforced the crew’s knowledge and supported safe, consistent and high-quality installation practices on site.

HS2 is Britain’s new high-speed railway, connecting London and Birmingham. Curzon Street will be the first new intercity terminus built in Britain since the 19th century and will feature seven high-speed platforms. Stretching for approximately 450 metres, the station is also designed to be net-zero carbon in operation and will provide connections to Birmingham’s tram, bus and wider rail networks.
Following the course, Macaulay and Sandra joined a tour of the site, giving them a valuable opportunity to see the scale and progress of this nationally significant infrastructure project.

We would like to thank the Martifer team for their warm welcome and continued commitment to installation quality and competency.
