The EESW is a great scheme providing aspiring engineers with a live project brief working directly with a company amounting to an extra-curricular qualification attained during their ALevels.
On Wednesday 14th October we had the pleasure of attending the welcome event for the EESW meeting the pupils we’ll be working with over the next 6 months. Alongside other companies we presented an overview of Tension Control Bolts Ltd, our products and gave students a project brief to work from. Within minutes of giving a demonstration and outlining the project we were astonished with the number of intellectual questions asked by the sixth formers.
Understanding the why and how is an integral part of being an engineer so we already have a site visit booked in for November to expand the student’s knowledge. At TCB we revel in supporting the future generation with engineering endeavours. We’re very much looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
