Rivet Replacement

Tension Control Bolts are widely used as rivet replacements for bridge strengthening and are specifically used in close tolerance holes. For heritage structures the dome head of a TCB is a natural and aesthetically pleasing replacement for a rivet. The iconic Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has 500,000 TCBs installed as rivet replacements, and the UKs longest rail bridge, the Tay Bridge, has 250,000 TCBs replacing rivets.

Greenkote® anti-corrosion protection
