Rivet Replacement
Tension Control Bolts are widely used as rivet replacements for bridge strengthening projects and are specifically used in close tolerance holes. For heritage structures the dome head of our standard TCB is a natural and aesthetically pleasing replacement for a rivet.
The iconic Forth Rail Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has 500,000 TCBs installed as rivet replacements, and the UKs longest rail bridge, the Tay Bridge, has 250,000 TCBs replacing rivets.
