Laing O’Rourke Visit TCB HQ

Technical Director, Steve Jones, explains various processes in TCBs new laboratory to our visitors.

TCB Ltd was pleased to welcome Laing O’Rourke to our HQ in April.

The team of visiting engineers are all based at the Everton New Stadium site which our Sales Engineer visited earlier this year to provide TCB training to the steel contractor; Severfield.

Laing O’Rourke are an experienced principal contractor having overseen a myriad of projects with TCBs. The visitors were interested to further their knowledge and see first-hand our operation.

We provided a comprehensive tour of our facility – including manufacturing, warehousing and QA laboratory. Furthermore, our Sales Engineer delivered a CPD technical presentation with a live demonstration to illustrate the TCB system.

Steve Farden, Principal Engineer, commented: “It was a great CPD presentation” and “the tour was really worth having”.

Everton’s new £500m stadium, once complete, will incorporate circa 80,000 Greenkote TCBs and is set for completion in time for kick-off of the 2024-25 football season.

It’s reported that Laing O’Rourke have signed a pre-construction services agreement with Manchester City ahead of the clubs £300m expansion to the Etihad Stadium which awaits planning approval.

TCB Ltd has already supplied Tension Control Bolts for the stadia of many premier league football clubs including Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester Utd, West Ham, Brentford, Leicester, Bright & Hove Albion, Fulham and Newcastle Utd.
