TCB Ltd visited the new Everton stadium project to support the site team with TCB installation training.
The new £500m Everton Stadium incorporates 12,000 tonnes of structural steelwork and will seat 53,000 spectators once complete. It is intended that the arena will become the heart of a new mixed-use development in the Bramley Moore Dock area.
The impressive site is situated just a few metres from the river Mersey estuary; an exposed marine environment. Therefore, the Greenkote corrosion protective system is integral and subsequently circa 80,000 Greenkote TCBs will be installed in the project.
Severfield are delivering the steelwork package, both fabricating and erecting the required steel. TCB visited to deliver bolting competency training for the Severfield site team and personnel from the main contractor Laing O’Rourke.
The TCB Bolt Competency Course covers all aspects of TCBs from a site perspective. There is a live demonstration and a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. Attendees who pass will receive a TCB certificate of competence. The training is available as part of our ongoing commitment to support best practice in TCB installation.
The new Everton stadium is scheduled for completion in time for kick-off of the 2024-25 football season.
