TCB installed in Electric Tipper Trucks

In collaboration with Thompsons Group, the UK’s leading bodybuilder for trucks working in the tipping, construction, waste and environmental services industries. M16 Tension Control Bolt  have been installed in Electric Tipper trucks. Championing  the transition from diesel to battery electric heavy trucks. TCBs are absolutely suitable for chassis applications replacing welded chassis. Moving toward a bolted chassis rather than welded has many advantages. The Health & Safety Executive are currently undertaking a welding campaign, visiting 5,500 steel fabricators across the UK and the focus of their inspections is welding. The reason being that recent research has found that the weld fumes are more carcinogenic than first thought which means additional, more stringent precautions are now associated for both the welder and colleagues in the workshop. In addition to this you need to employ a qualified welder, potentially a hot works permit on site, move chassis around the shop floor and there are quite extensive QA requirements.  The alternative bolting with TCBs, whereby holes can be punched out with computer-controlled precision and a young apprentice can put them in very simply using a lightweight battery tool.

This is far more  cost effective and efficient with quality control assured.
