One of the most frequently asked questions is ‘can you undo a TCB once it has been fully installed?’
In simple terms, yes you can. You can undo a TCB bolt in a conventional way with a large spanner or you can use the TCB reaction bar which is specially designed for this purpose. This fitting is compatible with both standard/corner shear wrenches and can be attached to the tool in the same way as a standard socket.
It functions by reacting off another bolt and is a very efficient and effective method for removal of TCBs. We have recently added a video to our website media centre to explain and demonstrate.
